Faraday–Fresnel rotation and splitting of orbital angular momentum carrying waves in a rotating plasma

Rotational Fresnel drag - or orbital Faraday rotation in a rotating magnetised plasma is uncovered and studied analytically for Trivelpiece-Gould Whistler-Helicon waves carrying angular momentum (OAM). Plasma shown to introduce non-zero phase shift between OAM-carrying eigenmodes with opposite helicities, similarly the phase-shift spin associated classical effect at rest. By examining dispersion relation these two low-frequency modes Brillouin plasma, this Faraday-Fresnel traced back combined effects of Doppler shift, centrifugal forces Coriolis forces. In addition, further lead rotation- azimuthal mode-dependent longitudinal group velocity, therefore predicting splitting enveloppe wave packet containing superposition helicities.
